This folder documents every role involved in building and operating Actual through the four-phase roadmap: Business Foundation, Hardware Prototype, Cloud MVP, and Charter Partner Pilot.
Files are numbered by the sequence in which the role is engaged — not by importance. All roles through Phase 4 are contract or advisory engagements. Full-time hires begin only after a successful charter partner pilot.

Hiring Principle
Do not hire roles 7–10 before the charter partner pilot succeeds. Premature hiring burns the self-funded budget and creates overhead before unit economics are validated.
The firmware engineer (role 3) is the only engagement that must begin before pilot. Everything else is blocked on hardware working.
Every session must produce a specification, a decision, a document, or an action item. Not a framework.
